Rekindle the Passion

As a lazy person and loves talking to different people. I stumble someone in online game a pinoy who trash talking to other players.

I got a chance to know him and exchange our BBM contacts. Talk about life and joking.  He reminded a part of me being someone who has the kid inside of me.

He has a blogsite and I read his writings. He is intellectual and very witty. It was really fun talking to someone who is intelligent and with sense.

Jepoy, parekoy. Thank you for spending time, actually killing time with me. Now, you remind me (not directly) of making my blog be more active.

Hello World, Hello Earth... Vhoknoi on Earth

I received a weird phone call late this afternoon. The caller calls in my officemate mobile phone and looking for me. As I answered the call, he/she/it (sorry but this person annoys me) offers me a job. He/She/It boastfully says that he/she/it is offering a huge amount as compensation, he/she/it works for a prestigious company and he/she/it is a project manager and looking people. He/She/It very pushy and being a nice and subtle individual, I asked him/her (whats the pronoun for a thing?) where did he/she/it got my number. I mentioned to him/her that he/she/it calling someone's phone. I might say "yes" to him/her because of the hefty amount of money he/she/it offers but being a rude, pushy and arrogant, I told him/her that I can't talk to him/her since it was not my phone and it is so unprofessional to talk about jobs and career using someone's phone. My point is, if you are really true enough on what's you're offering, be professional. Here are some of my "sentiments":

1. When calling someone on the phone and someone answers, you look for the person you're looking for. If the person you are looking is not the one who answers, ask if the number is his phone number. If not, apologize (and if you really need to talk to the person, ask if they know the number you are looking for) and end the call.
2. If the person answers and gave the phone to the person you are looking, ask first if he is available to talk over the phone. If he said yes, let him know the purpose of your call. If he tells you that he is not available, ask what is the best time to call.
3. If you know the number you've called was not the person you are trying to reach number, ask if its ok to get his contact number and do call back. You are not pestering just one person but two. It doesn't mean that because you are offering a job, they are hungry to grab it. Be aware that the person you might calling is more knowledgeable and earn more than your offering.

Anyway,Did you know what he/she/it reply? "So,you turning down my offer." and hung up.

...and last Number 4. Don't hung up if you are the one who are looking for information or asking for something. You might not get the real information you need.

Hahaha, Biatch! Not all are fooled and hungry for money (and I am not one of those)

New Year, New Stress

I will not forget January 3 and 4 as one of the stressful days of my life. I was forced to line-up for more than 8 hours just to get an NBI clearance and go to Paranaque RTC to clear my name.

Im going to HK this coming Jan 14 and our travel agent informed us that I am blacklisted or under the watchlist order in immigration.

Here are the documents I got from Paranaque RTC

A certain "Reynaldo Lim" was charged of Robbery because he illegally took GAS TANK, THERMOS AND THERMAL PLATES!!!

Because of this I have to waste 2 days to clear my name. Tsk... Tsk...

Start of Working Day

Am I getting old? My sister told me that old people woke up early to start their day. I slept around 12mn and back to my senses around 4am. It is too early for someone who reports for work at 9am. On the back of my mind, there is a debate. Am I just excited to report for work or am I getting old?

Nevertheless, another debater won... and his piece is, I came from long vacation and I have a lot of things to do. Also, expect heavy traffic on a Monday morning.

Amapola - the Impersonator with Wings!

The book started introducing the lead character, Amapola. She (figuratively) is an impersonator on one of the bars in Tomas Morato, High Notes. On the first chapter describes how she perform to the crowd, her relationship with her co-impersonators.

This Ricky Lee's new book, discussed different set of issues of our society, from the Government to LGBT... Manananggal to MPD (multiple personality disorder)... pollution, history, family and idolizing movie stars.

Eventhough, it discusses too many topics, concerns and characters, it still stays with the story. A manananggal who needs to accept that she is a manananggal and that she is the saviour of our country.

Other characters are really important to the story. It help the readers understand more its message. Nanay Angie, a typical mother who will do anything just to cover her daughter's secret identity. Lola Sepa,typical matriarchal grandmother, who wants everyone to follow her. Emil, a fan who is willing to die for her idol. Giselle, who will fight for her love. Homer, a single dad, who works hard just to give good life for his child. The lady president with corrupt husband(?), brother of a presidentiable, teacher who fight for their rights, other gay impersonators, etc.

One comment though with the book. I feel the ending was a bit rush and the fight against the real evil "corrupt people" was not highlighted. I am looking for a real closure of the story but I dont find any. Nevertheless, the book was ok and the book launch was really successful!

Kudos to Mr. Ricky Lee and team for the wonderful "obra"!
